Daniel Is Shaken and Stirred by the Mobile Phone Pests

According to the Daily Express, Daniel says: “I can’t go to the pub any more, not for very long anyway – I can go in and grab a couple of pints then run out. People tend to use their mobile phones on me a lot, they carefully bring them around and take a quick picture.

“You know, if I’m up for it, fine,” he adds. “I have to keep hold of my sense of humour because you can lose it very quickly and you start retreating into yourself – then you can’t go anywhere unless you are with armed guards and the whole thing becomes ridiculous.”

But Daniel, who is busy rehearsing for his second Bond movie, is adamant that there are some intrusions he will never put up with.

“You have to smile about these things. But I tell you, trying to take pictures of me when I’m having a pee is not welcome and never will be. And, yes, that’s happened.” Ugh.

Zoo's 100 Coolest Blokes

Zoo Magazine (UK) asked its readers to pick their top bloke of 2007. Daniel is number 4 on the list. The magazine says of Daniel: It’s not hard being cool when you’re James Bond but when you’re blonde, and everyone, their uncle, and the evil baddies are against you, then it becomes a tad more difficult to keep your composure. Craig restyled the super agent to much acclaim and made MI6 look harder than the SAS.

Finally,
The Golden Compass has earned $137,153,574 worlwide as of December 21.

Golden Compass slips down the chart

The Golden Compass fell from #1 to #3 on the chart of U.S. box office receipts. So far, the film has earned almost $41 million at the U.S. box office and almost $51 million outside the USA. As the media keeps pointing out, the film cost $180 million to make, so the film's box office receipts, especially in the USA, are disappointing. The Associated Press even calls the film "a dud domestically."
